Not unique. Dumas had a 'writer factory'. I can think of a certain 'starchitect' who hired young ID graduates ... let them invent, picked and chose between their designs to finalize and 'personalize' their work as the starchitect's own.

This shouldn't be looked at as an individual case, but as a business model that needs amending.
